Fancy Fortune Cookies’ custom line of colored, flavored and personalized fortune cookies in giant or traditional sizes make uniquely memorable holiday corporate gifts for employees, customers and clients.

Indianapolis, IN, November 23, 2009 — Looking to give memorable corporate gifts for the upcoming holiday season? America’s original gourmet flavored fortune cookie company, Fancy Fortune Cookies, lets you choose from a wide range of affordable corporate gift options to convey your appreciation and gratitude to your employees, business partners and business associates. From giant-sized fortune cookies (over 1 lb!) to elegantly-packaged assortments of traditionally-sized, colored and flavored fortune cookies, Fancy Fortune Cookies also offers milk, dark or white chocolate-dipped cookies decorated with drizzles or sprinkles so your company’s corporate gifts really stand out as unique!

“During these economic times, it’s important for companies to reach out to key clients and customers in order to set themselves apart from the competition,” says Mike Fry, founder of Fancy Fortune Cookies ( http://fancyfortunecookies.com ). “Companies are sure to impress when giving a customized and tasty corporate gift from Fancy Fortune Cookies, which can be personalized with a special message for each client, or sent with ‘ready-made’ holiday messages.”

Corporate gift-giving ( http://bit.ly/FortuneCookieGifts ) during the holidays is one of the easiest and most thoughtful ways for companies to enhance their image and build stronger relationships with employees and clients. Sending corporate gifts to business associates leads to better brand recognition and can further customer and client loyalty. Though cost is given considerable weight when selecting corporate holiday gifts, most companies want their gift offering to be unique, pleasurable and personalized to the recipient. Ideally, businesses want their corporate gifts to create a positive, lasting impression.

Fancy Fortune Cookies corporate gift options are designed for large corporations, small businesses or any multiple-recipient gift giving. Because of the *WOW* factor that the colored, flavored and chocolate-covered varieties elicit, and the fact that they can be personalized for each recipient, Fancy Fortune Cookies’ fortune cookies are an excellent option for employee appreciation and holiday gifts for corporate clients and customers.

“It’s nice to be able to give something fun and different over the holidays to make yourself stand out—and without breaking the bank,” says Fry. “The best thing about our fortune cookie gift suggestions is that they are not only unique, but affordable too.”

Fancy Fortune Cookies’ gourmet fortune cookies are available in two different sizes: traditional (1 1/2″ tall x 1 3/4″ wide) and giant (5″ tall x 7″ wide, weighing over 1 lb., with a fortune that stretches nearly 1-foot!), with many colorful varieties of sprinkles to match corporate or holiday colors. Prices range from $0.48 per flavored, smaller cookie or $1.00 for a chocolate-dipped version to $29.95 for a chocolate-dipped giant sized cookie ( http://bit.ly/GiantFortuneCookie ). All cookies come individually wrapped, while the colossal chocolate-dipped giants arrive beautifully wrapped in high-quality cello, elegantly tied with a ribbon.

Add impact with colorful carryout pails (the same used with Chinese take-out orders) filled with two to eight fortune cookies. Available in four different sizes, there is an option to fit any budget. Match your corporate colors and even include a logo imprint on the carry-out pail or cookie wrapper. A company can also venture to more expensive gifts. To meet a $20 to $50 budget, an assortment of these flavored or chocolate-dipped, traditional sized fortune cookies can come beautifully packaged in various sizes of classic gold, red or green keepsake tins. ( http://bit.ly/FortuneCookieGiftTin )

Fancy Fortune Cookie’s festive treats can be personalized with one’s own fortune cookie saying, quote or holiday promotion inside for a memorable business gift. FancyFortuneCookies.com will even drop ship gifts to all a company’s corporate customers or clients.

“At Fancy Fortune Cookies, we are very conscious of the fact that when a company sends out a gift to its clients, it’s imperative that everything goes right or it reflects badly on their company,” says Fry. “That is why each of our gourmet fortune cookies is baked fresh the day it ships, individually wrapped and delivered without delay to ensure freshness. Great care is taken in packaging so that gifts arrive in perfect condition.”

The Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen warmly welcomes the community to join it on November 26th for the 17th annual Thanksgiving grand dinner buffet—Xiamen’s first, and still its finest. Usher in the holiday season with thankfulness and good cheer as you feast on traditional Thanksgiving favorites—everything from roasted tom turkey with the signature stuffing to cranberry sauce, homemade breads, and mouthwatering pumpkin pie.

English pilgrims and Native Americans held the first Thanksgiving celebration at Plymouth Plantation in 1691. Over the years, it became an annual American tradition for giving thanks to God for his blessings, and in 1941, Theodore Roosevelt signed the bill making Thanksgiving an official American holiday.

Though Thanksgiving originated in the U.S. and is still most widely celebrated there, it has become increasingly popular worldwide. Canadians have celebrated it as avidly as Americans since the Canadian Parliament made Thanksgiving a national holiday in 1957. In 1973, Asian and European leaders hosted “Is Thanksgiving Universal?” – a series of international seminars to explore the importance and meaning of thanksgiving. In 1997, the U.N. made the year 2000 the “International year of Thanksgiving”. But the annual celebration made its debut in Xiamen eight years earlier in 1992, when the Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen brought together the international community for Xiamen’s first Thanksgiving dinner, and to introduce their home customs to Xiamen locals.

Today, American Thanksgiving is about parades, football, and traveling home for the big family dinner, with pumpkin pies, breads, cranberries, and of course, turkey. Turkey is such a part of Thanksgiving that many call it “Turkey Day”, though we are not certain if the first pilgrims even had turkey, much less the other “traditional” favorites. We do know that pumpkin pies, breads, and cranberries could not have been on their menu. But happily for us in Xiamen, the Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen’s annual Thanksgiving celebration serves all of our traditional favorites as we gather for good food, good cheer, and giving of thanks.

Compared with 1992, Xiamen today has much to be thankful for, including booming economic growth, a significantly higher standard of living, and a rich and diversified culture. If you are in Xiamen, join our warm community at the Millennium Harbourview’s 17th Annual Thanksgiving celebration. And as we come together to feast on the Millennium’s bountiful buffet, let us join in giving thanks for the gift that we have in Xiamen.

The 16th Century Falcon Inn in Denham, Buckinghamshire is notable not only for its fine ales and food which todays owners will of course boast of but the well known residents who have passed through its doors past and recent present.

Denham, Buckinghamshire, October 10, 2009 — The Falcon Inn was originally named Emmots Deye when Henry the Eighth was on the Throne. Situated in the pretty village of Denham, itself recorded as early as 1086 in the Doomsday Book, the local pub has been serving happy locals down the centuries.

Denham has long flirted with celebrity and the attractive main road and church has featured in many British films and TV programmes, the cast and crew of which have been well refreshed at the Falcon Inn and many have stayed at this popular Inn bed and breakfast in Buckinghamshire.

Today on rare occasions its possible to spot some of Denhams famous inhabitants enjoying a pint at The Falcon. Robert Lindsay, perhaps best know for his role as the grumpy dentist dad in ‘My Family’ is a resident as is the well loved TV entertainer Cilla Black. Previous residents of Denham are perhaps even more famous. Sir John Mills, the late actor was a resident in Denham village for many years and a plaque commemorating him can be found on his old house by the church. Roger Moore of 007 fame lived there as did the James Bond producer Harry Saltzman. As if by magic Paul Daniels was a Denham inhabitant as was Mike Oldfield, Jess Conrad, Raymond Baxter and Shane Ritchie.

Of the pubs, restaurants and hotels in Denham the Falcon Inn is the only one to be credited with the Cask Marque award for excellence and its featured in the Good Pub Guise and AA Pub Guide so whether you are interested in spying on celebrities or simply enjoying the beer the Falcon Inn in Denham makes an excellent and interesting place to stop.

If somebody looks for a wine to be valuable and of good quality, to be a classic and modern choice at the same time, it means that this person looks for Bordeaux wines. These fine wines are produced in one region of France, Bordeaux. Of course, there are wines also produced only for everyday consuming in this area of France, produced in large quantities. But vintage wines from Bordeaux for rare collections are well examined before they are declared as such.

The Bordeaux region is a widely large area for grape-growing and it is one of the first places in the world from this point of view. This region of France has the perfect environment for vineyard growing, with its structure soil based on limestone and the rivers that assure the irrigation for the vines. All these contribute to the high quality of Bordeaux wines. So, if you want to buy some of these fine wines and you are interested in vintage wines, you can consult a chart and see for yourself which year was better.

In the matter of winemaking, in Bordeaux, almost all wines are made from different species of grapes. There are very few producers who don’t mix wine varieties, most of them actually being blended results. The fermentation for Bordeaux wines usually takes place in stainless steel vats, beginning with the 1960s, but it can also be done in wood barrels. Bordeaux is one of the most important regions in the world when it comes to wine making, so this is why the high quality of the wine is so important for the thousands of wine producers in this area.

Fine wines are made from different species of grapes; as for the red wines, the most used varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The first two varieties of grapes give tannin, vigor and other similar qualities and the second variety brings more softness to the wine. As for the white wines, they are produced mostly from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

Bordeaux wines are classified as being of high quality and when it comes to be ranked, it is necessary to be chosen the best from the best. In order to enjoy the experience of wine tasting, people must know a few useful rules. First, you have to enjoy the color of the wine, so you must look at the wine and observe its color; you can do this if you put the glass of wine in front of something white, or even into the light. After you’ve stimulated your sight, you can go and experience the flavor of the wine, so don’t be afraid to dip your nose into the glass. You will be able to associate flavors with the smell and you will be prepared to taste the wine properly, always with small sips. Every time, you will discover a new subtlety, a new strength and discover on your tongue all the flavors that these fine wines are letting behind. In the end, you will definitely be thankful for the opportunity of tasting such wonderful wine.

Welcome to our website, the number one resource where you can find fine wines that you so kindly appreciate. We are confident that you will enjoy our selection of Bordeaux wines and select the ones that you like the best.

Historically the UK’s second city has not been well known for its gastronomic delights though that appears to be changing with many observers predicting great things for the Birmingham restaurant industry.

Birmingham, UK, September 23, 2009 — There is strong evidence that the quality of food and dining experience in Birmingham is on the up. This years Good Food Guide lists 11 restaurants and as the development in Birmingham city centre continues so does the restaurant choice.

The Mailbox complex in the city centre itself is home to a staggering 16 restaurants in Birmingham, all under one roof. The choice includes a huge range of cuisine including, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Mediterranean and Tapas.

Dave Hodgson, marketing director at Marketing Birmingham, said Birmingham had cemented its place as an “international food city”.

He said: “Birmingham is one of the nation’s great culinary centres, boasting a wealth of more than 200 restaurants providing dishes from over 20 different cultures.

“We started the year with three Michelin-starred restaurants, more than any other English regional city, saw the biggest Taste of Birmingham ever in July, and now have a record 11 Birmingham restaurants selected by the prestigious Good Food Guide.”

It could now be argued with some ammunition that the sheer cosmopolitan nature of the city is exceptionally well reflected in the sheer volume and diversity of restaurants in Birmingham. It is staggering to believe that 27 different nationalities are represented.

Food lovers should take note that Birmingham really is becoming a great place for culinary delights.

Juice Bar Consultant Performance Food Centers Partners with Professional Wrestler King Kaluha to Promote his “Lean, Mean & Clean” Anabolic Steroid Risks and Awareness Program. Young Athletes to Benefit by Learning a Safe and Healthy Approach to Fitness and Nutrition.

Pottstown, PA, August 26, 2009 — Young athletes are continually bombarded with conflicting messages about proper training methods from places like the locker room, mainstream media and their “friends;” that’s why Performance Food Centers has teamed with professional wrestler Mike Alegado, also known as King Kaluha, to educate kids on the healthy and safe way to approach fitness and nutrition. The “Lean, Mean & Clean” Anabolic Steroid Risks and Awareness Program is targeted toward high school and junior high school athletes, but their parents, siblings and friends will benefit too.

Mike Alegado is no stranger to the dangers of steroid abuse and unhealthy training techniques from his experiences in collegiate sports, professional wrestling, weight training and youth athletics. Furthermore, as an athlete for over 25 years, Mike has seen the result of many ill-conceived training regimens that damaged the health of friends and left them regretting their lack of knowledge. Unfortunately, Performance Food Centers shares this experience; whether it’s the consumption of healthy fitness smoothies instead of a sugar-laden energy drink, ill-advised training methods, or even the use of anabolic steroids, kids often don’t have a consistent source of reliable information on healthy athletic training.

As a professional wrestler, Mike Alegado’s King Kaluha persona is in a unique position to speak to kids based on personal knowledge. After training diligently, Mike created “King Kaluha” when he entered the world of professional wresting in the early 1980s. Wrestling internationally and operating his own professional wrestling school, King Kaluha saw the best and worst athletic training methods. Accurate training advice was difficult to find; straight talk about the use of anabolic steroids was almost unheard of and convenient nutritional advice from a place like an on-site juice bar was non-existent. Although having never used anabolic steroids himself, Mike has seen an increase in their use over the past three decades and felt compelled to take a stand against these substances by creating a program to help young men and women stay on the right track.

Mike’s “Lean, Mean & Clean” Anabolic Steroid Risks and Awareness Program is targeted to high school and junior high school athletes and consists of a 90 minute seminar including a question and answer session. Subjects covered include: How Anabolic Steroids Work, The Side Effects of Anabolic Steroids, Risks of Anabolic Steroids and Healthy Alternatives to Anabolic Steroids. Mike’s goal is to deliver this seminar throughout the country.

Thankfully, Mike also includes a discussion on nutrition’s role in fitness training too. While there has been a great deal of publicity surrounding banned substances in professional sports recently, like baseball, there are also many all-natural and healthful supplements that can be used to speed the recover of athletes’ bodies after a strenuous workout, like Performance Foods’ supplement boosts. These supplements provide the body with important vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytonutrients necessary to maintaining long-term health.

About Performance Food Centers
As a juice bar business consultant and proponent of the fitness industry, Performance Food Centers was created with one goal in mind: to provide natural, whole foods to everyone, while simplifying the complex world of nutrition. Furthermore, Performance Food Centers is excited to join Mike Alegado to help kids achieve great results without the use of performance enhancing drugs or anabolic steroids. In working together, their hope is to spread the news about the risks of steroid use, provide healthy alternatives and show kids that they can achieve their goals by living a healthy and natural way.

[JKHANOK] Every month at the Enoteca Turi Italian restaurant in London, owner Giuseppe Turi gives a fascinating and comprehensive insight into regional Italian wines and food.

Putney, London, UK, August 06, 2009 — The Italian restaurant hosts regular regional food and wine events, which each time attempts to explore the food and wine from one of the diverse regions of Italy, and explain the background and history of the region.

Alex Mungo, a food and wine enthusiast with a keen interest in the history and significance of food explains: “I have found my twin passions spoiled rotten in recent months by the exceptional wine tastings held at Enoteca Turi, a family-run Italian restaurant in London with a difference. in fact, the term “wine-tasting” is perhaps inadequate for these evenings, which cover a lot of ground. Each month owner Giuseppe Turi enthusiastically selects a region of his home country and conducts research into the history behind its Italian wine making and cuisine.”

There are three main routes down which the present Italian food heritage has come; the Celts in the north, Etruscans in central Italy and the Greeks in the south. This is borne in mind, when researching the history of each Italian region, in order to locate the true origin of the tastes and how these have evolved until the modern day. Any historical event, which has a bearing on the the way of life of people and their culture will influence their diet and how they eat, e.g. an Arab and Spanish domination in the south of Italy, the isolation of some regions such as Puglia and Basilicata, Venetian trade with the East, and Austrian rule in the north. This research culminates in these events, which are enjoyed in equal measure by customers and staff alike.
