The advances in nanotechnology and optoelectronics resulted in the introduction of next-generation display products. The next-generation display market comprises of those displays that consume lesser power than CRT, LCD, and plasma technologies.

Environmental concerns are driving the need for greener and low-power-consuming display systems. Efficient and advanced display systems with enhanced image quality and lower power consumption is the need of the hour.

In 2008, the market size of next-generation display components was $6 billion that is expected to grow exponentially by 2014 because of the increasing use of the next generation display components in consumer electronics. This revenue potential highlights the immense opportunity in the next-generation display market.

With high fragmentation and intense competition in the microelectronics industry manufacturers of chips and integrated circuits are working to improve the quality and reduce the prices of their products. Therefore, the expensive ingredients and large R&D investments required for silicon photonics act as a major restraint for the growth of this market. However, the evolution of the silicon photonics market into a mainstream market is expected to overcome all these restraints.
The high market size of wavelength division multiplex filters is due to its early commercialization and wide application area in telecommunication. The photo detector market is expected to be US$301 million in 2014.

Early commercialization of products and high absorption rate of electronic products have made U.S. the dominant market in 2008 with 56.7% share of the global silicon photonics product market. Increased research and developments in U.S. companies have also helped it dominate the silicon photonics market. Europe is estimated to be the second largest with 25% share of the market.

Do you know that you can fix your wii remote by your self? If no then you have missed important information up till now. Yes it’s truly correct that you yourself can fix your Wii Remote without any problems. There are some of the problems with the remote which are always common i.e. seen in all the remotes. Some of them which can be solved ourselves are the following, many times there are problem occurred in the sensors of the remote it could be removed by just checking the motion sensors functions by holding it upside down and tap it against your other hand but not too forcefully. This could solve the problem and if this act would be done forcefully then it might damage the remote.

Many times the batteries of the remote control run out immediately, in such cases there are many factors playing role for it. It depends on the type of game played, how much is the use of remote in the game and some times depends on how you are playing the game. In the routine the batteries run for about 30 hours continuously without any halt given to it that is because of the alkaline batteries used into the remote, but it is recommendation to use only Nickel Metal Hydride Battery according to the manufacturer to save your remotes life and keep it always into company warranty. For saving battery while playing you should turn on the burn-in reduction mode that puts your remote control in the power saver mode when it is not used after 5 five minutes.

These are the best examples of saving the battery of you wii remote and wii accessories . Some times there is a trouble of buttons not responding in some games, that is due to the games has the functions that disables the buttons of the remote (not for all the games) and if still the problem persists you will have to contact your vendor for further assistance. There are many times possibilities of the rumble features disabling that can be checked by checking the remotes power by searching into Home menu of the wii console, in the wii remote settings verify that the rumble feature is ON. These are the minor problems which can be solved by easy options and if there are any other problems regarding the hardware you should contact the vendor.

45-City Tour Brings the ELAN Group Face To Face with Dealers For The Largest Outreach In Company History With Advance Full-On Access To New Products, Applications And Dealer Programs

Lexington, KY, June 12, 2009 — ELAN® Home Systems, with sister companies Sunfire®, HomeLogic®, and ATON® announced today that its ‘Takin’ it to the Streets’ Road Show ’09 has surpassed expectations at mid-point, reaching more than 2,000 dealers with feature previews and demonstrations of the four brands’ 42 newest products. The Companies’ forty-five city North American tour is leveraging a landmark product launch year as well as the introduction of major new selling promotions to help the Group’s Dealers meet marketplace challenges head-on. The announcement was made by Paul Starkey, ELAN’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Covering major cities across North America, the Road Show is breaking new ground in technical product marketing. Participants across the board are impressed with the proactive outreach the ELAN group of companies is offering to best reduce Dealer time and travel costs. To date, close to 90 percent of the Tour’s seats have been filled, reaching a total of more than eight times the number of Dealers that attended the Group’s last product summit.

“The Road Show has turned out to be an unbelievable way to connect with our dealers,” said Mr. Starkey. “Going mobile has allowed us to tear down conventional classroom barriers and bring all four ELAN companies’ new products and marketing tools to our Dealers’ doorsteps with special selling programs and cohesive options that work for everyone. This is simply the best event we have ever produced.”

Among the 42 products debuting on the tour and generating high levels of Dealer excitement are the red-hot new HomeLogic Mobile Control app for the Apple® iPhone™ and iPod® touch, Sunfire’s TGM-100 Theater Grand Media Server, and ELAN’s Elios Speaker line. Additionally, ATON continues to steal thunder with its HDR44 HD Video Router, DH44 Digital Audio Router and Amplified Touchpad.

Chad Tierney, founder of Integrated Environments, caught the April 22nd leg of the tour in Hartford Connecticut. “I walked away from the show impressed. I enjoyed going one on one with Bob Farinelli, President of the ELAN Group, and his Companies’ newest technologies and products – all just a few blocks from my business! But the real takeaway for me was the shear level of moxie behind this tour. While everyone else in the industry is in a doom and gloom mode, Bob’s team has reinvented best marketing practices and is storming the country with their marketing end-runs. Their simple mix of top performing new products, great incentives, tips and a freight train of momentum is absolutely uplifting – and absolutely what Dealers need right now.”

With only four weeks left in the ‘Takin’ it to the Streets’ Road Show ‘09, limited seating is still available in Portland, Charleston, Seattle, Vancouver and Calgary. Dealers are being given free admission with advance registration, and special tour-only promotions are being offered to attending Companies. Prizes are being awarded to attendees at all sessions. Following the close of the tour there will be a major drawing where eleven lucky road show attendees will win one of an array of prizes including a Dealer Day with ELAN’s President Bob Farinelli and an all expenses paid trip to Chicago to see the Doobie Brothers in concert. Prizes also include four major systems from ELAN, Sunfire, HomeLogic and ATON and four iPod touches.

Additional tour details including new products, promotions, tour dates, locations and registration, are now available at http://www.roadshow09.com. Free registration is required to attend tour sessions and Dealers must be confirmed present to be eligible for the $30,000 in post tour grand prizes. Further information is also available from the ELAN Group by calling Kim Stone at 859-269-7760.
