Andrew McIntyre, Chairman and CEO of Prism stated “the second quarter of 2009 was positive for the Company as we saw continued institutional demand for our products, improved manufacturing efficiencies and greater geographic coverage in the current economic climate.

Vaughan, Ontario, July 30, 2009 — Prism Medical Ltd. (“Prism” or “the Company”) (PM:TSX-VEN) today announced its results for the second quarter ended May 31, 2009.

Net income for the second quarter of 2009 increased to $1.271 million ($0.18 per share on a diluted basis) versus $1.010 million ($0.15 per share on a diluted basis) for the same period in 2008.

During the second quarter of 2009, revenues were $17.3 million compared to $12.6 million in 2008, an increase of 37%, driven by an increase in sales within the United States. The Company continues to focus its efforts on the US marketplace by increasing the number of sales representatives. In the UK, sales increased 12% after incorporating the impact of a decline in the British Pound Sterling (GBP) relative to the Canadian dollar.

In the second quarter of 2009, gross profit increased $1,963 (35%) over the same period in 2008 driven by the sales increase and higher percentage of sales made by the Company owned network of dealers and direct sales staff.

Earnings per share on a diluted basis for the three months ended May 31, 2009 of $0.18 per share represents an increase of 20% over the same period last year.

Andrew McIntyre, Chairman and CEO of Prism stated “the second quarter of 2009 was positive for the Company as we saw continued institutional demand for our products, improved manufacturing efficiencies and greater geographic coverage in the current economic climate. Further improvements in US sales representation and dealer market share should result in future profitable growth.”

Prism Medical Ltd. is a provider of durable medical equipment and related services to the mobility disadvantaged in Canada, the USA and the United Kingdom. While Prism’s history dates back to 1996, Prism’s subsidiaries and divisions have been servicing the mobility disadvantaged since the mid 1980s in their homes, long-term care facilities and acute care facilities.

With the country in a whirlwind of layoffs, company closures, blatant financial fraud, and rising foreclosures, it’s enough to make even the seasoned believer toss and turn at night or lose heart.

Sacramento, CA, May 18, 2009 — To help Christians stay focused on God as their source and sufficiency despite these tough and shaky economic times, author and writer Rhonda Jones, recently produced and posted to her blog, Nourishing Your Spirit, a free 30 minute Christ-Centered meditation audio entitled “Abundantly Blessed.”

The audio download helps Christians alleviate the worry and stresses that often accompany financial problems and also reinforces the need to trust and have faith in God instead of becoming overwhelmed by their circumstances, said Jones, the creator of awarding winning website www.thechristianmeditator.com and author of 23 Christ-centered meditation and affirmation CDs.

The free download contains a progressive relaxation followed by a Biblical narrative that includes scripture affirmations, spiritual principles, and uplifting Bible passages set to calming and relaxing background music. “You just find a comfortable place to sit or lie down where you’ll be free from distractions, close your eyes, and let the meditation calm your fears and restore your peace of mind,” said Jones.

According to Jones, “Christians often respond to financial crisis just like the rest of the world. In theory, we know that the Bible tells us ‘not to worry’ and that we should ‘possess the peace that passes all understanding,’ but that is easier said than done. We’re actually programmed to worry when things go wrong,” she said.

Jones who has over 3500 subscribers to her Christian meditation newsletter says that she receives testimonial letters daily on how her Biblical meditation and affirmation recordings have helped them overcome worry, eliminate negative thoughts, and develop a more intimate relationship with God.

One subscriber recently wrote:
“My husband and I have just implemented a “power hour” each morning in order to deal with the stress of our lives. We’re both full commission real estate agents in the Detroit area. With our state economy riding on the auto industry, to say that we’re stressed out right now is such an understatement. Two weeks ago, I was actually contemplating getting medication just to help me cope. We’re both very strong believers and I really wanted to give God the glory for working my anxiety out. I found lots of guided meditation but either they were too short to really do me any good or they took me into eastern elements that distracted my meditation.

Thank you for this ministry you have. We appreciate so much the wonderful guided meditation. We’ve sat with you three mornings so far while your voice has led us straight through the turmoil and into the calm. Thank you so much and may God bless you abundantly, far more than you can ask or imagine!”

“This is just my small contribution to help ease restlessness and anxiety during a time that many have never experienced before,” said Jones. “We may not be able to change our situations overnight, but a least we can restore and keep the peace of God ruling our hearts and minds while we wait for positive change,” she expressed.

Jones is also the owner of several other websites including www.onlineprofits4beginners.com and www.holyhealthandwellness.com.

Lives of Commitment Awards Presented to Leaders in
Environmental Advocacy, Philanthropy and Media Activism,
and Pioneering Religious Leadership

New York, NY — Auburn Theological Seminary will present its 2009 Lives of Commitment Awards to three visionaries: philanthropist and film producer Abigail Disney, environmentalist Wendy Paulson, and Rabbi and Cantor Angela Buchdahl. Auburn’s 2009 Young Healer Award, presented in partnership with The Sister Fund, will go to Fatima Haidara, 16, a New York City teen anti-violence activist who was raised in Mali and Mauritania.

The Lives of Commitment Awards, to be presented at a gala breakfast May 28th at the Waldorf-Astoria, honor women leaders whose spiritual ideals lead them to devote their lives to healing and repairing the world. Preacher and author Barbara Brown Taylor will offer the invocation.

2009 LIVES honoree Abigail Disney is co-founder of the Daphne Foundation and producer of the award-winning documentary Pray the Devil Back To Hell, which tells the story of the Muslim and Christian women of Liberia who united over religious differences and impossible odds to end the dictatorship and civil war in Liberia and help elect the first woman head of state in African History.

“I feel a little like an evangelist for [this] kind of work,” said Disney, a grand-niece of the legendary Walt Disney. “It’s been the answer to privilege for me. If privilege can be a toxin, then the serum is engagement, and connectedness, and rolling up your sleeves and becoming a part of the human race.”

2009 LIVES honoree Wendy Paulson is a dedicated environmentalist who works to overcome our society’s increasing “nature deficit disorder.”

“I love the fact that Auburn seeks to connect spirituality and spiritual quest with commitment, because they go hand in hand,” said Paulson, who has chaired two states’ chapters of The Nature Conservancy and works with students from the New York City School System to increase their awareness of nature.

2009 LIVES honoree Angela Buchdahl, the daughter of a Korean Buddhist mother and an Ashkenazi Jewish American father, is the first Asian-American woman to be ordained a rabbi or a cantor in any Jewish denomination. She is both.

“Being our most authentic selves is a way that we offer the best of ourselves,” said Buchdahl. “As a rabbi and cantor born of a non-Jewish mother, I have always understood what it feels like to be an insider and an outsider in the Jewish community, and more and more I have come to understand that is an authentic expression of what it means to be Jewish — not having to squelch a piece of ourselves to be in relationship to God.”

Auburn Theological Seminary’s Lives of Commitment Awards were first presented in 1997 to recognize the unique contributions of women leaders to our society and the world. Past honorees include Dr. Jane Goodall, Blu Greenberg, Daisy Khan, Ruth Messinger, Sr. Helen Prejean, Mary Robinson, Alice Walker, and Faye Wattleton.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to honor all these magnificent women,” said Auburn Seminary’s President-elect, the Rev. Dr. Katharine R. Henderson. “In a time when moral leadership is so much needed in our world, these women stand as beacons for all of us.”

–
Auburn Seminary is a nationally recognized theological center that provides innovative educational programs for a religiously diverse world. Founded in 1818 to train Presbyterian ministers, today Auburn prepares leaders of many faiths to meet the challenges of religious and public life. Auburn shares a campus with Union Theological Seminary in New York City.

The Prime Minister has released an open letter to Burmese pro-democracy activist Aung San Suu Kyi.

Read the letter:

Dear Daw Suu

The Burmese regime continues to resist the righteous clamour from your people and from the international community for your release. As you and the Burmese people are denied your democratic rights and freedoms the only way for me to communicate with you is through this open letter.

I wanted to publish it to let you know that you are not alone – that people are standing with you not just here in Britain, but everywhere that democracy and freedom are upheld.

We are heartened by your tremendous courage, your inspirational leadership, and by the knowledge that no oppression is so great that the forces of liberty cannot prevail The history books are full of stories of injustice. But they are also full of stories of hope, resistance and the victories that satisfy the deep human yearning to be free. I am confident that your story will stand prominently among those that show that from
the deepest wells of despair can come the greatest triumphs of human endeavour.

Inspired by and in solidarity with you, the British Government will continue to work with our international partners to support Burma’s path to stability, peace and economic recovery. The UN Security Council has set out the steps necessary for a return to democracy in Burma. I have worked with our partners in the EU to maintain sanctions that are tough and targeted against those individuals who wish to deny the Burmese people their rights. And I will continue to press your neighbours in Asia to work even harder for your release and that of all political prisoners in Burma.

My message to the Burmese regime is clear the people of Burma have suffered nearly half a century of conflict and isolation, it is time to embrace a new beginning. So I say to the Generals who imprison you: the time for a transition to democracy is now. By excluding you from that future, by silencing and imprisoning you, they condemn your country to
further decades of poverty and exclusion.

Your continued imprisonment reminds all of us that we should not take for granted the institution of democracy for which you campaign That we should not rest until you are able to play your rightful role in a free and secure Burma. And that our place is alongside all those who face imprisonment, repression and despair in their battle to build democracy, confront poverty and protect human rights. Daw Suu I want you to know: you are not alone.

Yours sincerely

Gordon Brown
