Austin, Texas ( JKHANOK ) October 09, 2009 – Top Austin real estate broker and author, Kenn Renner, with Buy Austin www.BuyAustin.com and DR Horton, Austin’s largest home builder reminds first time homebuyers of the impending deadline for the $8000 Federal Tax Credit, which is due to expire on Monday November 30th, 2009. Kenn urges first time home buyers who want to make use of the $8000 tax credit, “to purchase their home within the next few weeks in order to meet the first time home buyer federal tax credit deadline.”

Last February, President Barack Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 in order to help kick start the sluggish US housing market. One of the key components of the Act was the creation of the $8000 first time home buyer federal tax credit. “The $8000 federal tax credit is essentially a free gift from the federal government,” says Renner, www.BuyAustin.com broker and a first time home buyer specialist.

The first time home buyer federal tax credit has been received favorably by many consumers, real estate professionals, and home builders across the US. “The first time home buyer federal tax credit has been successful because there is always a positive economic ripple effect each time a home is purchased,” says Renner. In addition, “its success has been fueled by “pent up demand, low interest rates and lower home prices,” Renner continues.

The National Association of Realtors recently reported that 53% of today’s homebuyers are first timers due in part to the $8000 federal tax credit. “Homebuyers just need to realize that the tax gift is going away and that now is the time to take action,” Renner urges.

Renner warns home buyers who wish to take advantage of the $8000 federal tax credit to focus primarily on available housing inventory. Renner adds, “although there are great deals for buyers in the short sale market, foreclosures and with bank owned REO companies, they unfortunately cannot process the contracts quick enough to meet the deadline. Therefore, buyers should focus on builder inventory or resale homes that are owner occupied in order to close before the impending deadline.”

Gone are the days when you need to go to a mall and visit an optical shop just to get the designer frames you have been looking for. Now, online shops are reaching out to provide you with a pair of eyeglasses that will surely work for your advantage. You no longer need to spend time going out just to get your designer eyewear. Even if you merely look at pictures via online catalogues, you are still promised the same quality of items you want to have from an eyewear. Aside from quality, what then should you expect from online eyewear shopping?

Shopping guides. Sometimes, if you run to local stores just to get a pair of designer eyeglasses you cannot avoid the fact that the place is plagued by a lot of people. This happens most especially if the store is very popular. This is why online stores are there to replace these crowded venues. You experience state-of-the art transactions that will work for your utmost convenience. You get a guide by exploring the site plus you are advised on how you will have a successful purchase for your designer frames.

Chronological listings. One of the main problems when purchasing via local stores for your eyeglasses is that you need to look for frames that are not arranged on the shelves. Online venues are of great help as it gives you the chance to see into different brands – arranged alphabetically – for you to see the pair of designer frames that you want. Under each brand name, there are also other details about eyewear. Shopping is made easy by such tools in stores proliferating over the Internet.

Great discounts. You may think of designer frames as very expensive items to take home. However, with online venues, you get the privilege to have a pair of eyeglasses at a discounted price. Some frames inside the company’s catalogue may need updating in the future in order to introduce other innovations in the market. Do not doubt the quality of these products though. Even if they are offered at a lower price, it does not mean you are getting a pair that is not as durable as the more expensive ones.

Raise questions. It is true that you may always ask for assistance when you buy through local stores. Well, you also get the same with online venues offering eyeglasses. The good thing is you need not get out of your homes just to be able to raise your queries. Simply visit the contact us page and send a message to the provider. You may also do the same if you have questions regarding designer frames you have purchased. All these things may be done without spending money on transportation fares.

Online providers of designer frames are your trusted partners when it comes to stylish, chic, elegant and colorful design options for your eyeglasses. You become fashionable by wearing the glasses offered by your online shops. But of course, you are also advised to visit your optometrists if you have other eye concerns.

For a more convenient option for your own pair of designer frames, our site is ready to help you. Allow us to give the best details when it comes to your purchase of eyeglasses.

Father of 5 beats a field of 25 finalists to become the first Texas winner in foundation history – just in time for father’s day!

Seattle, WA, June 11, 2009 — Jack Hodges, from Duncanville Texas, was announced as the winner of the Fatherhood Foundation’s 2009 Father of the Year Award. Mr. Hodges was nominated by his family, and made it through to the final round which included 25 top nominees. He was nominated for his tireless work with his children and grandchildren, which his kids appreciated enough to warrant a nomination during the 2009 submission process in January. He was also nominated for his years of award winning civil service, which included thousands of volunteer hours with the First Baptist Church of Duncanville, “Citizens On Patrol”, the Katrina response effort, and more.

His fourth son, Brian Hodges, was pleased with the award. “After all the years of him giving his time, focus, and resources, we thought it was fantastic for him to win this award. The USFF (Fatherhood Foundation) recognizes what we recognize all year – that he is truly a father of the year.”

Mr. Hodges is being formally notified of this award next week, and will be invited to partake in the annual black tie banquet and awards ceremony which will be held in Seattle Washington in August. It is customary for the overall winner to accept their award in person, as well as give a keynote speech to the ceremony attendees.

Mr. Hodges was born in Houston, Texas in 1936, and was a stand-out engineering student at Texas A&M. He also trained with the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, which launched a unique career with both the Army and Navy, where he rose to the Naval rank of Lieutenant Commander. His engineering career spanned several decades with LTV, Boeing, and Northrop, where he managed a number of high profile, top security, advanced aeronautical programs resulting in airplane technology that is still being used and studied today. He is a seasoned small-plane pilot, and was a former member of the AOPA. He once anchored a city champion softball team as the starting first-baseman, and is still active with golf, poker, and bridge. He is married to Carol Hodges of Duncanville, and the two enjoy traveling around the country to visit their geographically dispersed children. The Hodges’, as a family, also used to run
regular missions of mercy into impoverished areas of Mexico.

Interestingly, Mr. Hodges’ father Jesse “Elmer” Hodges lived a colorful life as well, having met Clyde of the notorious group “Bonnie and Clyde”. Elmer Hodges was also a former professional baseball pitcher, before settling down to focus on raising Jack.

Keller, TX, June 03, 2009 — towPartners is pleased to announce that it has renewed the legislative research tool service offering for its towing, repossession and road service members. This tool, purchased from Legicrawler and powered by that firm is available to all towPartners Gold Level Members and Association Partners. The tool searches for active legislation containing a variety of keywords in all 50 states as well as at the national level including those containing information about wreckers, tow trucks, automotive repossession and much more. It then organizes the results to make research of legislation impacting the towing and asset recovery industries easy for our members. The results can be searched, printed, e-mailed and more. Members can even review the legislation in other states and use this in the efforts in their own states.

“Once again we are proud to provide this valuable tool to our members and to all of our industry Association Partners. This tool allows them to not only research the legislation in their own states but provides access to information from across the country,” stated Jeffrey Godwin, Vice President of FTI Group, Inc., which manages both the towPartners and repoPartners programs. “Through recent changes we are also offering information on legislation affecting the asset recovery industry in order to provide further benefit to our repoPartners program. We hope to promote an environment where more member companies work together to affect positive change in the legal arena on issues ranging from Move Over laws to matters related to procedures and rates. We are here ‘For the Industry’ and free tools such as this one for members and partners are just a small part of what we have planned.”

The legislative research tool has been collecting data for towPartners members since towPartners first provided it in February 2007. With thousands of past searches and a considerable amount of current legislation to review, it is expected that the tool will continue to be widely used by the towing and recovery industry as well as the asset recovery industry whose interests are also part of the search functions.

Access to this legislative tool is free to Gold Level Members of towPartners and repoPartners as well as to towPartners’ Association Partners. For more information on either Gold Level Membership or Association Partnership, visit www.towpartners.com.

About towPartners
towPartners is a division of FTI Group, Inc. and is a sister organization to repoPartners. towPartners has established itself as the largest towing industry organization and the only buying club for towing companies. The towPartners program is designed to bring better pricing and quality service to towing and road service companies of all sizes and to those employed in the industry. towPartners has over 28,000 towing company members and is still growing.
