Capital Worldwide were feeling vilified yesterday after Sanyo announced a deal to supply batteries for Toyota’s burgeoning hybrid models.

Sanyo Electric Co., the world’s largest maker of rechargeable batteries, rose the most in two months in Tokyo trading after Nikkei said the company will supply lithium-ion batteries to Toyota Motor Corp. Capital Worldwide had advised investors of the possibility for growth in Sanyo for just this reason in recent months.

Sanyo rose 10 percent to close at 247 yen on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the biggest advance since June 17, after surging as much as 17 percent. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average slipped 0.8 percent.

Toyota will buy batteries from Sanyo from about 2011, Nikkei English News reported earlier, without citing anyone. Sanyo said on July 3 it aims to quadruple sales to automakers by 2015 as people buy more gasoline-electric cars. Insiders at Capital Worldwide say that portfolio bosses acted some time ago on the strength of their analyst findings that a deal of this sort was imminent and that Sanyo were the most likely chosen suppliers.

Sanyo isn’t the source of the Nikkei report, Tokyo-based spokesman Hiroyuki Okamoto said. The Osaka-based company’s policy is to provide lithium-ion batteries for any hybrid-car maker that wants them, he said. Hideaki Homma, a spokesman for Toyota in Tokyo, denied the report and declined to comment on whether the carmaker is in talks with Sanyo. However, the Capital Worldwide source reaffirmed the company’s previous assertion that an exclusivity deal was more or less a certainty due to the cost efficiencies and service aspects of any supply agreement.

Lithium-ion batteries have higher output and capacity than the nickel-metal hydride type that Toyota uses in the Prius and other hybrid vehicles, according to a previous Capital Worldwide report on this topic.

Last month, Sanyo posted a third straight quarterly loss after a decline in sales at its components business, which includes rechargeable batteries. Sanyo said revenue at its components business, including semiconductors and rechargeable batteries, fell 29 percent to 164 billion yen.

Revenue from car batteries will likely exceed 100 billion yen by 2015, Mitsuru Honma, head of the rechargeable-battery unit, said in an interview. The company declined to give a precise figure for the current level.

Warsaw, Poland, October 02, 2009 — TS2 Satellite Technologies company is introducing new satellite link products to the international market. These types of telecommunication products are mainly used by the companies that execute contracts in the Middle East and Asia, as well as by the soldiers that are stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“Purchased bands give us unlimited possibilities of configuration and setting any telecommunication connections from the Middle East region and South-Western Asia. We can now build networks of any size on such satellites as Intelsat 10-02, Intelsat 901, ABS-1, ArabSat Badr-4 and NSS-6.” – said Marcin Frackiewicz, the President of TS2.

New TS2 Satellite Technologies http://www.ts2.pl offer is a broadband Internet and corporate networks based on satellites. The operator’s broadband services enable two-way data transfer within the network and simultaneous Internet access. The company provides all dedicated VSAT services for demanding customers: VSAT Private Network, broadcasting services, SCPC/SCPC, SCPC/DVB, MESH services, STAR/DAMA, VSAT Mini Hub Solution and VNO.

‘We provide secure and encrypted satellite connections particularly for the military sector, for any military units, literally in any part of the world, on the national firing ground and during all international trainings.’ – said Frackiewicz. He also added: ‘We have mobile and stationary solutions dedicated to work in difficult conditions’.

Especially for U.S. Military Personnel, Contracting Officers and DoD Contractors, TS2 delivers satellite equipment to most of all military addresses in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Middle East, usually within a few days.

The TS2 staff is monitoring the performance of satellite network 24 hours a day, in order to enable the immediate help in case of breakdown or receipt of alert. Due to technical conditions and favourable weather, the Teleport is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Therefore the signal from the headend aerial is not disturbed by the weather conditions and all connection users of TS2 receive services of the highest availability. The Teleport configuration is fully redundant and the services are also available on the national market.

AE Laren, Netherlands, September 28, 2009 — Recently the new website www.toptravelangebot.de went online. A German travel portal where the tourism industry can advertise hotel offers, holiday homes, restaurants, promotions, events and holiday related press releases free of charge. This is the first opportunity for providers from the tourism branch to gain free and easy access to the German travel market.

Nearly 1,000 offers available listed already Providers of for instance weekend or meeting packages are able to present their information clearly, including pictures and an entry in Google maps. Janneke Nijenhuis, initiator of the portal: “As hotel consultant in the Netherlands, I noticed that advertising on the German market is either not easy or very expensive for non German suppliers. Yet many of my customers sought ways to promote their offers to German guests. That is why I came up with the idea to develop a portal myself offering free advertising possibilities. Nearly 1,000 offers have been published in the meantime.”

No commission for the entire tourism branch Visitors are able to evaluate providers using a review option and simply search by location or category such as hotel, amusement park, golf club, restaurant, or city trip. Subsequently they can send an e-mail directly to the provider or click through to the provider’s website. Providers therefore do not need to maintain an availability overview or pay a commission, which can be as high as 15% these days with other websites. In addition, all new providers are entitled to a free listing for one year. This gives them one full year to test, free of charge, whether this new portal does indeed offer an easy solution to attracting the German speaking guests. Please request the relevant discount code.

No charge for press releases and articles
There is no charge for publishing events, press releases, promotions, or classified ads on www.toptravelangebot.de.

Lord Turner, chairman of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), recently set out the factors that will determine the success of plans to change the structure of regulation in Europe. He was speaking at the City of London Corporation’s Annual Reception for the City Office in Brussels.

The EU has agreed major changes to the structure of regulatory and supervisory cooperation in Europe to introduce greater integration and coordination between regulators. Lord Turner said that the success of these proposals will depend upon:

The ability of the proposed European Systemic Risk Board to develop good quality risk analysis and the “willingness of politicians to take its warning seriously and to countenance potentially unpopular responses”;

Achieving a commonly agreed and enforced rule book. This needs a balance between political oversight and delegation to technical experts. It will require “technicians devoted to good regulation and supervision …. independent of apparent national interests (such as influencing the location of activities)”; and

A robust process of peer review between different regulators that would include resourcing and supervisory processes.

Lord Turner also warned about the risks that remain for host countries from cross-border banking business. The structures for cross-border business need to recognise the national interests of the host country. Host states should have the right to receive prudential information about entire groups and should be given powers to restrict the activities of branches where prudential weaknesses are not being adequately addressed by the firm or its home supervisor.

The full text of the speech can be found on the FSA website.

Notes for editors

The FSA regulates the financial services industry and has four objectives under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000: maintaining market confidence; promoting public understanding of the financial system; securing the appropriate degree of protection for consumers; and fighting financial crime.

Information Assurance is about protecting Government data – communications and information systems – from hackers and other threats.

GCHQ is heavily dependent on technology in order to execute our global missions. An increasingly rapidly changing digital world demands speedy innovation in our technical systems, allowing us to operate at internet pace, as the information age allows our targets to. One of our greatest challenges is maintaining our capability in the face of the growth in internet-based communications and voice over internet telephony. We must reinvest continuously to keep up with the methods that are used by those who threaten the UK and its interests. Just as our predecessors at Bletchley Park mastered the use of the first computers, today, partnering with industry, we need to master the use of internet technologies and skills that will enable us to keep one step ahead of the threats. This is what mastering the internet is about. GCHQ is not developing technology to enable the monitoring of all internet use and phone calls in Britain, or to target everyone in the UK. Similarly, GCHQ has no ambitions, expectations or plans for a database or databases to store centrally all communications data in Britain.

Because we rely upon maintaining an advantage over those that would damage UK interests, it is usually the case that we will not disclose information about our operations and methods. People sometimes assume that secrecy comes at the price of accountability but nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, GCHQ is subject to rigorous parliamentary and judicial oversight (the Intelligence and Security Committee of parliamentarians, and two senior members of the judiciary: the Intelligence Services Commissioner and the Interception of Communications Commissioner) and works entirely within a legal framework that complies with the European Convention on Human Rights.

The new technology that GCHQ is developing is designed to work under the existing legal framework. It is an evolution of current capability within current accountability and oversight arrangements The Intelligence Services Act 1994 and the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 underpin activities at GCHQ – both existing systems and those we are planning and building at the moment. The purposes for which interception may be permitted are set out explicitly in the legislation: national security, safeguarding our economic well being and the prevention and detection of serious crime. Interception for other purposes is not lawful and we do not do it. GCHQ does not target anyone indiscriminately – all our activities are proportionate to the threats against which we seek to guard and are subject to tests on those grounds by the Commissioners. The legislation also sets out the procedures for Ministers to authorise interception; GCHQ follows these meticulously. GCHQ only acts when it is necessary and proportionate to do so; GCHQ does not spy at will.

http://lpcyu.newsvine.com/_news/2009/07/02/2992783-irrefutable-proof-the-hague-court-

cannot-legitimately-prosecute-karadzic-case

War crimes tribunals are only as effective as they are true tools of international social
justice for bearing genuine historical record. If anyone doubts what I am saying,
reexamine the political show trials of both Jesus and Socrates.

In the case of Dr Karadzic currently in the Hague, my eye witness testimony proves the
Hague was never a true tool of international social justice from its very
conceptions/construction phase.

This legal technicality indicates the Hague must dismiss charges against Dr karadzic and
others awaiting trials in the Hague jail; like it or not.
If American criminal Madoff stood in front of court that was as seriously corrupted,
flawed and compromised as the Hague, he would have to be acquitted or transferred to
another court.

Unfortunately for the The Signatures Of the Rome Statute United Nations member states
instituting the ICC housed at the Hague, in Karadzic and other Hague case, there is no
other international court capable; even if there was, the same United Nations member
states that spoke about trading judicial appointments and verdicts for funding when I
attended the 2001 ICC Preparatory Meetings at the UN in Manhattan would be morally
incapable of constructing another court to hear cases.

My suggestion is to transfer immediately Dr Karadzic and others awaiting trial at the
Hague back to Serbia and their respective countries to decide how to proceed next.
Sending Pinochet back to Chile (The Pinochet Precedent) combines both international
legal standing and international legal precedent enough to return Dr Karadzic to Serbia
for further actions if any.

This owing to the my eye witness testimony insofar as the Hague’s criminal corruption. It
also gives appropriate legal standing for Karadzic’s attorney for immediately filing a new
obstruction of social legal jurisprudence in his case based on my comments on the entire
matter.

J
—————————————————————————————–
Irrefutable Proof the Hague Court Cannot Legitimately Prosecute Karadzic Case

And how is it, Richard Holbrook (Lying Moralist), the present Obama administration of
my own country, the United States, and/or any other UN member state can stand anyone
being tried at the Hague (ICC) court at all, which I testify to, is an institution at its very
conception stages was based upon trading bribery for judicial appointments and verdicts
(?)

Why is the entire world so quite and mentally bent on covering this fact up (?) How about
an answer NBC, CBS AND CNN (?)I know you have seen my blogs because my book is written all over your own news sites (!)

I witnessed with my own eyes and ears when attending the 2001 Preparatory Meetings to
establish an newly emergent International Criminal Court, the exact caliber of criminal
corruption running so very deeply at the Hague, that it was a perfectly viable topic of
legitimate conversation in those meetings I attended to debate trading verdicts AND
judicial appointments, for monetary funding.

Jilly wrote:*The rep from Spain became distraught and when her country’s proposal was
not taken to well by the chair of the meeting , then Spain argued in a particularly loud
and noticably strongly vocal manner, “Spain (my country) strongly believes if we
contribute most financial support to the Hague’s highest court, that ought to give us and
other countries feeding it financially MORE direct power over its decisions.”

J STarr
*

*I am glad to continue receiving your latest news on the status conference in Beograd (!)
I am all for closing down the Hague ASAP and rallying international support to do so. I
still vividly remember whereby Spain was one of the most vocal countries in the ICC
Preparatory Meetings in 2001 at the UN NYC: The lady representative from Spain
wearing glasses with shortish i hair sat in the far corner at the table to my left arguing
that Spain wanted to give the ICC more money to directly influence its “decisions over
verdicts and judges,” in particular…

Jill Starr in NJ

And close the Hague down since it has almost reached its ’term limits.”
They can bow out with a touch of graceful diplomacy.

soft Xpansion allows for the high relevance of the PDF format by publishing a range of altogether eight software products in 2009. Four products are already available. The other four will have been released by the end of the year.

Bochum, Germany, October 06, 2009 — In the field of electronic documents, nowadays PDF may definitely be characterized as the file format that constitutes the most widespread standard for digitally-based communication and teamwork. The importance of PDF is underlined by the fact that in July 2008, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published the approved ISO 32000-1 standard based upon PDF 1.7. PDF has become an official ISO standard.

In 2009, soft Xpansion allows for the high relevance of PDF by publishing a range of altogether eight software products. While four products are already available, the other four will have been released by the end of 2009. Each program will have its own scope of functionality, thus meeting specific needs in connection with the creation and use of PDF files. An extensive comparison of the products can be seen on http://soft-xpansion.com/index.php?p=/pdftech/pdf5-prem/ (at the bottom of this page).

The current version of the product family (5.5) is compatible with Windows 7 and can be run on 32-bit and on 64-bit systems alike.

Family Members:
Compared to the other family members, Perfect PDF 5 Premium (Recommended Retail Price, RRP, is 89.99 Euros) comes with the widest range of functionality. It is qualified for all tasks associated with the PDF file format, including features for the conversion of documents into PDF files, for changing properties, for content editing, for commenting, designing, protecting and digital signing, as well as for the creation and filling of PDF forms.

Perfect PDF 5 (RRP: 59.99 Euros) does not include the import of meta information from Microsoft Office documents, but is identical to the Premium version in all other respects. The third product, Perfect PDF Editor (RRP: 49.99 Euros), is a comprehensive application for the editing of existing PDF files and for the creation of completely new PDF documents from empty files (that is, without any converted source document), including building PDF forms. The software also includes functionality for the conversion of images and simple text files into PDFs.

On the other hand, Perfect PDF Converter (RRP: 19.99 Euros) cannot be used for editing PDF files and for creating PDF forms, but is focussed on the creation of PDF files by converting source files and data into PDF. The Converter will be released at the end of 2009.

Office to PDF Premium (RRP: 24.99 Euros) has been developed to concentrate on the conversion of files from Word, Excel and PowerPoint into PDFs by a seamless integration into these Microsoft programs. It also imports meta information like tables of contents, links, form fields, comments and a lot more meta data into the converted PDF files.

The three programs Word to PDF (will be released in October 2009), Excel to PDF and Web to PDF (both scheduled for December 2009) focus, respectively, on the creation of PDF files from Word, Excel and from Internet Explorer as well as from local html files. The RRP for these products is 9.99 Euros each.

Corresponding to the different scopes of functionality, the price range for the various family members therefore lies between 9.99 Euros and 89.99 Euros (RRP).

Perfect Pdf 5 Family (Version 5.5) Advantages:
* Eight products tailored to meet specific needs when working with PDF files
* Run on Windows 7
* May be installed and used on 32-bit as well as on 64-bit computers
* New generation of PDF printer drivers for faster PDF creation

Special USPs of Perfect PDF 5 (Premium), Editor and Converter:
* Modern user interface (ribbon design, as in Microsoft Office 2007) makes it easier to navigate through the programs. Thanks to the new interface, the program features and commands are grouped more clearly than in “classical” windows software
* For more complex tasks, a contextual help system and information bars have been integrated into the program. Therefore, in these cases it is not necessary to consult the help file and/or the manual
* Separate windows for editing and commenting of PDF files as well as several reading views make it more easy to work with the software

Availability & Versions:
Starting this October, the products will be sold by e-tailers like softwareload.co.uk or eknow-how.com. They are available as download versions only.

Details & Demos:
Detailed information on Perfect PDF 5 Premium, Perfect PDF 5 Editor and Office to PDF Premium is provided on separate product pages that are accessible directly on soft-xpansion.com. Trial versions are available for download on the product pages as well.

Contracts and new investment deals between UK and Chinese enterprises worth over US$500m were agreed during the visit to China this week by Lord Mandelson UK First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Business, Innovation & Skills.

Many of these new business partnerships demonstrate UK capacity in low carbon business solutions, which will benefit British businesses while helping China meet its tough environment and energy efficiency targets.

Addressing a low carbon business solutions forum organised by UK Trade & Investment in Beijing on 8 September, Lord Mandelson said:

“Across the board, the UK can offer the knowledge, technology and experience to help our two economies de-carbonise. The UK has world-class climate change research institutions and consultancy services in carbon measurement and management. Our architects and engineers are creating designs for the low-carbon cities of the future”.

He later added:

“Pilkington, Greens Power, Zed Factory and The Carbon Trust are examples of outstanding UK companies working with advanced and low carbon technology. These new contracts not only demonstrate the strength of economic ties between the UK China, but also our shared commitment for developing a low carbon economy”.

As well as emphasising business to business collaboration, Lord Mandelson signed with the Mayor of Changsha, home to six million people in China’s Hunan province, a bilateral governmental agreement establishing Changsha as the third “Sustainable City”, alongside Wuhan and Chongqing. UK companies are well positioned to win business opportunities arising from the launch of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster project by Hunan government with an initial investment of 70bn RMB (£5.5bn) on 134 key projects.

In Beijing Lord Mandelson also argued for greater access for UK goods and services suppliers to China’s rapidly developing domestic markets. He was delighted to receive confirmation from the Chinese government that regulators are in the final process of approving a new business combination of Bank of China, Standard Life and Tianjin Economic & Development Area.

In Shanghai Lord Mandelson also attended the groundbreaking ceremony for AstraZeneca’s new US$100m Innovation Centre China in Zhangjang Hi-Tech Park – one of three flagship R&D projects by major UK companies in Shanghai, along with GSK and Unilever.
Notes to editors

Europe had some good news today as Germany and France both had data that shows they have come out of recession.

Sources speaking to Capital Worldwide where surprised at the results ending the economic turmoil the countries have seen over the last year. Both countries have been in a recession for the last 4 quarters, but both GDP’s have increased.

Capital Worldwide economist predicted that the worst recession since the war would end in the last quarter of this year and where pleasantly surprised with the findings. This really demonstrates that the countries that acted quickly with stimulus packages are now showing signs of recovery; it also looks like the U.S is coming out of recession to.

Capital Worldwide now expects other European countries to follow suite and as confidence around the globe comes back a full recovery may happen as early as the start of next year.

On the back of this shares in Europe rose and look to be on a bull run, much of the optimism is seeing investor coming back with their cash looking for a good deal.

Capital Worldwide analysts have seen the evidence of a recovery for the last few months, the signs have been there and its is welcome news. As firms begin to invest again then expect there to be grow the creation of new jobs, essential in any recovery.
