Nottingham, United Kingdom ( 2009) – Heart Internet, a leading web hosting company based in the UK, have added a new generic Nominet tag to their control panel to allow resellers to transfer and register domain names without Heat Internet’s tag appearing anywhere!

Due to Nominet’s rules relating to the registration of .uk domain names, until now all domain names had to be registered through the Heart Internet tag, thus allowing resellers’ clients to see that Heart Internet was the hosting company. But, this has now all changed with the addition of Heart Internet’s new generic tag, which provides resellers with a truly white label web hosting package, without ever revealing Heart Internet’s name or details.

Called EXTEND, the new white label tag can be accessed in the preferences section of the Reseller Hosting Control Centre and enables resellers to transfer and register domain names under their own brand identity, while ensuring the same superior hosting for which Heart Internet are renowned.

“We work constantly to improve the service we offer to resellers,” said Jonathan Brealey, Managing Director of Heart Internet. “With the addition of the new generic tag, we can now offer a bespoke and completely white label service to resellers, which helps to maintain reseller brand integrity.”

To find out more about Heart Internet and their services, visit www.heartinternet.co.uk or ring 0115 934 2171.

Chiseldon, Swindon ( Jkhanok ) November 9, 2009 -NextMention*, the highly anticipated RealTime web monitoring technology, is now available for beta testing for free. Uniquely, NextMention monitors the whole web including news, social networks, Twitter, blogs, bulletin boards, portals and more. Now for the first time users can follow a favourite team, monitor an organisation and its competitors or even keep a close watch on shares – with news instantly delivered via IM and/or email.

David Phillips, Internet strategist; Author of Online Public Relations and director of KLEA Global Ltd., said that NextMention was the first in a pipeline of impressive products and services which take advantage of KLEA Labs RealTime monitoring technology.

He admits that there are a host of services already covering a wide range of online and offline media, but emphasises that very few offer RealTime services covering the entire web.

“Today companies and individuals demand RealTime information – just in time is just too slow! While some services may be swift, they do not include all the channels out there – in fact none can comprehensively monitor all the content that is available online. If it were so, the unmediated flow from the many divergent channels from web sites to news to blogs, wikis, Twitter, social networks and all the rest would be a jumbled morass.

The service provided by Klea Global through its www.nextmention.com service resolves these issues.

It monitors’ the web for everything and uses a Bayesian bot to sort out the pages into media types. The delivery timing can be specified – with the beta service providing ten minute, hourly or daily updates free, and real time updates in our soon to be announced premium service.

The beta version allows for 5 searches which you can change or delete; select delivery intervals and channels; stop and restart the service. The www.nextmention.com website will store all your citations for a week while KLEA Global’s clever software tells you which online category each citation belongs to.

Soon to be announced are Klea Global’s ReputationWall* and BlogFinder* – all of which comprise part of the three tiered, Klea News, Klea View and Klea Insight service offering.

Wilmington, Del- The advanced materials practice at MarketsandMarkets is pleased to announce its Analyst Briefing Presentation on the Global Electroactive polymers market to be held on 23rd Nov 2009.

Technological developments in the electronics and semiconductor industries have led to the creation of polymers that change shape on the application of voltage. The biggest application for electroactive polymers (EAPs) lies in their future use as actuators and sensors, which in turn opens up a huge spectrum of applications in the fields of electronics, healthcare, sensing, and solar energy generation. With the growing market for each of these applications, EAP is set to become a mainstream market in the next five years. However, the technical specifications for each application differ widely, and extensive research and investments are still needed for developing application-specific EAPs. As the EAP market is still in the early phase, it presents many advantages for the early movers. As there are not too many companies involved now, detailed knowledge of the competitors will be crucial for the success of each company.

The global electroactive polymers market was at $1.7 billion in 2008; and is expected to grow exponentially at a CAGR of 8.3% from 2009 to 2014 mainly due to the already existing demand for new applications be commercialized in the next five years. The conductive plastics segment forms the largest submarket of the overall electroactive polymers market with an expected US$2.25 billion by 2014 at a CAGR of 7.3% from 2009 to 2014. The high market size of conductive plastics follows from its extensive use in electrostatic discharge and electromagnetic interference protection.

The briefing on the global electroactive polymers market (2009-2014) will benefit electroactive polymer manufacturers, chemical suppliers for electroactive polymers, electronics and semi-conductor companies, medical device manufacturers, antistatic coating and packaging companies, and research laboratories. “There is a huge growth opportunity in the EAP market as the demand for these products is expected to grow at a rate of 8%, and as the commercialization of potential applications could make this a might see this a double digit figure in the near future” notes MarketsandMarkets. “As the market is still in its nascent stage, the development of heat-resisting polymers could increase the growth opportunity for stakeholders in electroactive polymers.”

WILMINGTON, Delaware, The energy and power supplies practice at MarketsandMarkets (http://www.marketsandmarkets.com/) is pleased to announce its Analyst Briefing Presentation on the Concentrated Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Market to be held on 1st Dec 2009.

To register your participation, please click here http://www.marketsandmarkets.com/AnalystBriefing/concentrated-solar-photovoltaic.asp

The solar power market has been growing steadily in the recent past due to certain key factors such as unpredictable fossil fuel prices and the need for reducing dependence on fossil fuel imports, environmental concerns over the green house gas emissions due to fossil fuel use, and increasing governmental support for the renewable energy sector.

Concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) technology involves the use of mirrors or reflectors to focus sunlight falling over a huge area onto a small set of PV cells, which then provide high power output and hence high power efficiency. CPV cells are also often equipped with trackers following the position of the sun to direct sun rays onto the reflector panel and then towards the array of PV cells.

The PV market is mainly composed of crystalline silicon, which offers high conversion efficiency; and thin film PV materials, which are gaining in popularity primarily due to their low production costs. However, CPV technology is still at a nascent stage; and its long-term success depends on its performance and reliability. Economies of scale are expected to reduce the currently high cost of CPV technology by about 20%.

Europe and Japan currently hold the maximum shares of the PV systems market. However, the U.S. market has the fastest growth rate, due to the alternative energy focus of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Various feed in tariffs, net metering and tax credit reforms by the U.S. government have also given significant stimulus for the production and use of solar energy. The federal government is also providing easy finance for the establishment of solar energy stations for terrestrial and building-integrated installations.

The briefing on the Global Concentrated Photovoltaic (PV) and Solar Power Market (2009-2014) will benefit PV cells manufacturers, solar power technical consultants, solar power equipment manufacturers, crystalline silicon suppliers, and commercial research labs.

“With government initiatives promoting the production of renewable power, the CPV cells market is set for high growth for the next several years. The early movers in the industry will benefit in terms of market share but it is important that they focus on geographies with dry-sunny climate, high electricity consumption and high peak loads,” notes MarketsandMarkets. “Companies aiming to make a major impact in this market need to make extensive R&D investments to come up with cost-efficient CPV installation processes.”

MarketsandMarkets is a research and consulting firm that publishes 120 market research reports per year. Each strategically analyzed report contains 250 pages of valuable market data, including more than 100 market data summary tables and in-depth, five-level segmentation for each of the products, services, applications, technologies, ingredients and stakeholders categories.

Point Topic, a Broadband analyst firm, has released a report that shows a strong divide in broadband penetration, finding that of the 68 cities, districts and towns with high penetration are almost exclusively located in the south of the country. Meanwhile, the north has large spots where penetration is either low or very low.

London and towns like Bristol, Plymouth and Southampton have seen above average penetration, while while Northern Island and the Midlands have seen the worst take-up.

17.3% of the country live in an area where broadband take up is very high or high, while only 8.8% live in low or very low areas, despite these areas being geographically much larger. As expected, this shows penetration is heavily linked with living too far from an exchange.

Although options like satellite and mobile broadband exist for those without access to a normal connection, these are still very expensive compared to fixed line, ADSL broadband. Many people in areas that are not supplied by an exchange cannot afford these costs.

Charles Mcfey, Product Director at ukcheapbroadband.com says:

“This research might not be that surprising for anyone that has been following the ‘Digital Britain’ news stories or is already aware of the problems the UK faces with broadband penetration.

The most interesting thing highlighted here is how the Scottish governments approach to broadband has provided the country with a much more even level of broadband take-up.

Although Scotland might not face the same economic issues as the UK, its geographical problems are very similar, and these have been solved by having more exchanges per head of population – sometimes just serving single, small communities.

Investment has also been strong in Scotland, and the government has spent millions to improve services already.

Hopefully in the coming years we’ll see a similar level of investment in England, although right now the governments focus on providing speed rather than value or reliability is a worrying one.”

About UKCheapBroadband.com:

Helping to protect wireless networks and maintain computer security, new freeware tool by zamzom allows users to detect all computer names, Mac and IP addresses utilizing a single wireless network. Within seconds, Zamzom reveals all computers – both authorized and unauthorized – who have access to any given wireless network.

Worried about wireless security? New wireless network tool by zamzom instantly provides users with information on each and every computer that has access to their wireless networks, including authorized and unauthorized users. From computer and user names to Mac and IP addresses, Zamzom wireless networking tool even identifies computers unseen in a program neighborhood and computers that can’t be pinged.

Most people rush through the setup process when it comes to establishing a new wireless network, says Per Hansen of Zamzom.com.

“That’s totally understandable, but it’s also quite risky because of security reasons,” he confirms. “A study of financial districts showed that 57 percent of the wireless networks were open or used weak WEP encryption.”

As wireless technology has developed and increased, so have the number of security risks. Hacking methods have become much more sophisticated and innovative, leaving companies, personal computers, and any other wireless device wide open and vulnerable.
