The bare essentials of safety in-flight

Air New Zealand’s taking safety briefings to new heights with body-painted staff set to feature in a revamped version of our onboard video.

Our brand new “Bare Essentials of Safety” video will go live on our domestic 737 flights from today, Monday 29 June.

The video’s a fresh new twist on our successful “Nothing to Hide” ad campaign, which has had more than two million views on youtube and hit number five on the Advertising Age’s Viral charts.

The original TVC features pilots, cabin crew, ground staff and even CEO Rob Fyfe body painted, to highlight the transparency of Air New Zealand’s all-inclusive domestic airfares – with the message that, unlike competitor airlines, what you see is what you get!

Building on the campaign, the “Bare Essentials of Safety” video allows our staff to tell our in-flight safety story in an engaging and genuine way – once again in nothing more than body painted uniforms!

To celebrate the launch of Bare Essentials – and allow everyone to enjoy it – we’ve created www.nothingtohide.co.nz, where you’ll find the new safety video, a comical bloopers version and the original TV ads all in one place.
